Mr. Wu develops technology and start-up valuations for business planning, joint venture formation, mergers & acquisitions, and restructuring. Mr. Wu has experience as a valuation advisor to clients in various industries with a particular expertise serving clients in high technology and international operations. He is a member of the National Equipment & Business Brokers Institute (NEBB).
Mr. Wu has an MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and a BSE Computer Engineering from UC San Diego (Magna Cum Laude). In the early 1990’s, he helped to co-found PatchLink Corporation, now Lumension, an internet management and security company. At PatchLink, he was responsible for competitive analysis, market research, product positioning and development of the overall business plan. Mr. Wu also raised outside investments totaling more than US$40 million in this role. After PatchLink, he helped form CellTrust corporation, a mobile software and secure SMS provider.
In Asia, Mr. Wu has worked as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group where he focused on formulating business strategy and operational management plans for Fortune 500 clients. More recently, he has consulted to multinational companies to establish and optimize their businesses in China. His China projects included Joint Venture formation, minority buy-outs, Energy Management Contracts (EMC), executive recruitment and raising investment capital. Mr. Wu has also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shanghai BaoKang, a JV with BaoSteel, China’s largest steel manufacturer.
